Arrawatta Hill Shiraz
Wine
Seppelt Arrawatta Hill Shiraz is made with select parcels of fruit from the estate Arrawatta Hill Blocks in Great Western, sited on gentle slopes just south of the winery.
The fruit is open fermented on skins for 8-10 days. Each batch has a whole bunch component, breaking from Seppelt's traditional Shiraz methods. Maturation is in a variety of oak from 225 litre French barrels to 3,000 litre vats, around 25% new overall.
Vibrant ruby, Seppelt Arrawatta Hill Shiraz is a medium bodied, supple wine with dark fruit flavours and graphite tannins. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
